A cloudless sky clarifies the Kansas City skyline and Union Station. The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts with the four Industrial art towers on the support towers of Bartle Hall can be seen in the upper lefthand corner.
About Glory Ann Penington
After decades of photographic adventures, including National Geographic featuring my photo of El Salto, I took up oil painting in the wake of a traumatic train derailment in 2016 where I suffered a brain injury. It took three years to overcome vision and PTSD challenges… and then I discovered a deeper expression of creative feeling in this new medium. Through photography, I show you how I see the world, but with painting, I share with you what I feel about it. Primarily using the palette knife technique, values and contrasts allow energies to radiate through light and air. As a viewer, you are then engaged in the resolution of abandonment and order, chaos and serenity. I’m delighted when the viewer sees something in the painting...
